Purchase Trail Permits From Authorized OFSC Outlet 1/2/2010

The following information has been taken from the OFSC webpage.  Please take special note.

·        Snowmobile Trail Permits are official instruments of the Government of Ontario, so to avoid serious trouble, be sure to buy your 2010 Permit only from an authorized OFSC outlet that requires completion of the authorized MTO form to validate the sale.

·        • Each permit is only applicable for the snowmobile it was issued for, so be very suspicious if someone offers you an “under the table” deal on permits, because odds are that these are fraudulent or stolen goods that cannot be legally assigned to your sled. As a result, you could be subject to serious criminal charges and penalties.

·        • If you suspect that anyone is offering to sell you a permit that may have been obtained illegally, please contact your local police agency.

·        • If you are suspicious about a permit you have purchased, call your local police agency (Quote – Barrie Police Service Occurrence #: BA09-052156) to avoid being charged with Possession of Stolen Goods Under $5,000 (and fined for not having a valid permit) when you are stopped on the trail.

Buyers are hereby warned that all 2010 Full Season Snowmobile Trail Permits with the numbers between:

X117951 - X118950 and X125201 - X126200

have been declared null and void, and thus are illegal for sale or purchase.
